Youth Policy Support Fellowship

🕒 Deadline: April 7 2026

The Youth Policy Support Fellowship is designed to strengthen youth engagement in biodiversity policy processes, aligning with GYBN’s role as the official global youth coordination platform for the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The fellowship equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively contribute to environmental governance and decision-making spaces.

Participants are trained in international biodiversity frameworks, including the CBD and global biodiversity targets, while gaining practical experience in advocacy, policy analysis, and negotiation processes. This reflects GYBN’s broader efforts to ensure that youth perspectives are meaningfully integrated into policy discussions at all levels.

The program also supports fellows in engaging with national and international policy platforms, contributing to consultations, and translating complex policy frameworks into accessible knowledge for their communities. Through mentorship and hands-on experience, participants develop confidence in navigating institutional spaces.

By the end of the fellowship, young leaders are prepared to act as bridges between global policy processes and local action, ensuring that youth voices influence decisions that shape the future of biodiversity.
