Youth Capacity Building Fellowship

🕒 Deadline: April 7 2026

The Youth Capacity Building Fellowship is part of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) commitment to strengthen youth leadership and empower young people to actively engage in biodiversity processes at local, national, and global levels. Through this fellowship, participants gain access to training, mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning spaces that enhance their understanding of environmental challenges and solutions.

The program builds on GYBN’s long-standing approach to capacity development, which includes workshops, trainings, and collaborative learning experiences designed to equip youth with the skills needed to influence biodiversity policy and implement community-based initiatives. Participants explore key topics such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), advocacy strategies, and project design.

Throughout the fellowship, young leaders connect with a global network of changemakers, exchanging knowledge and strengthening collective action. This collaborative environment fosters leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to translate global biodiversity goals into local impact.

By the end of the program, fellows are prepared to replicate their knowledge within their communities, mobilize others, and contribute to building a stronger and more coordinated global youth movement for biodiversity.
